Our Open Day, 50th anniversary celebration, and Association prize-giving social, held on 2 September 12-6 pm, was a great success, with food, fun, socialising, prizes, lovely plots to visit, and a fantastic 50 shaped pair of cakes, won by visitors in a guess the weight competition.
Hoxton Manor allotment site was established in 1957, and during 2007 celebrated its 50th anniversary by launching this website, building a community shed with help from the lottery fund, and held an Open Day and 50th celebration 2 September. We are putting in for a grant to set up raised beds for people who are now finding traditional gardening difficult. This is the first step in making our allotment site more accessible to people with disabilities.
