Hoxton Manor allotment site is in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, off Chingford Road E4, and is part of the Walthamstow Town's Allotment Association who run four sites on land leased from the council.
Hoxton Manor allotment site was established in 1957, and during 2007 celebrated its 50th anniversary by launching this website, building a community shed with help from the lottery fund, and held an Open Day and 50th celebration 2 September. opposite Walthamstow greyhound stadium, was established in
1957, and there were also 'Dig for Victory' allotments there in the
Second World War.
The Walthamstow Town's Allotments Association is a society set up at the beginning of the 20th century -- we held our 92nd AGM in 2007 -- which provides overall management for four allotment sites: Chestnuts Farm, Cheshire Fields, Hoxton Manor and Low Hall Farm.
