Our new allotment community shed is being built this summer by plot holders, thanks to a grant from lottery funders Awards for All.
We have been granted lottery funding by Awards for All to build a community shed that can be used by allotment gardeners and visitors, and we were granted planning permission to build it.
The grant of £5,000 was awarded to the Walthamstow Town's Allotments Association for the four sites it runs, and our share is £1250.
The community shed is being built this summer by plot holders onto an existing scaffolding frame for all year use for social events, activities and meetings. Here are some of the planning drawings (done by committee member Peter Moore)
